Cheer shoes are particular footwear used by cheerleaders in sporting activities.

There are different cheerleading shoes in the market today, some with more preference for the particular cheer activity.

Footwear giants like Nike, Adidas, Puma, and others all produce cheer shoes with different styles and features to suit the preferences and needs of cheerleaders.

How to Clean your Cheer Shoes?

You can clean your cheer shoes in the washing machine or dishwasher or use your hand to wash them with cleaning agents such as baking soda, vinegar, toothpaste, OxiClean, magic eraser, etc.

Each method you use to wash your shoes, make sure it’s cleaned without damaging the texture and firmness of your shoes.

It’s important to note that not all these methods are suitable for all types of cheer shoes.

How to Clean Cheer Shoes in Washing Machine?

One of the best ways to clean cheer shoes is to put them in a washer.

Whether it’s Nfinity cheer shoes, White varsity, or Rebel cheer shoes, you can put them in the washing machine for a gentle cycle.

Also, using a washing machine seems to be the easiest and most convenient way of removing dirt, stains, and odor from your cheer shoes.

Plus, you can wash 2 to 3 pairs of cheerleader’s shoes at a time in the washer.

To wash your cheer shoes, use a soft-bristled brush to remove dust from your cheer shoes.

Then, rub laundry detergent or dish soap on the cheer shoes with a soft white handkerchief and focus on the stained areas.

Rap your cheer shoes with a towel or put them in a mesh laundry bag before putting them in your washer.

Add mild laundry detergent to the washer, set the water temperature to cold, and wash in a gentle cycle.

Once the washing machine is finished washing it, take out the shoes from the towel or mesh and air dry them.

NOTE: Don’t wash your cheer shoes with cloth in the washer, don’t use any machine to dry your cheer shoes, and you should stuff your shoes with paper tissues after cleaning to maintain their shape.

How to Clean Cheer Shoes in Dishwasher

While the washing machine is safe for most cheer shoes, some athletes found the dishwasher safer, and easier to wash their cheer shoes.

Make sure you put off the heat setting in your dishwasher before you put in your cheer shoes.

Washing shoes in a machine should be done with cold water to avoid the shoes shrinking after washing.

While I don’t recommend this for hygiene reasons, the process is almost the same with a washer.

To clean Nfinity, Varsity, Rebel cheer shoes, and other brands, first use a cloth or a soft-bristled brush to remove particles from your shoes, then put the shoes facing downward, on the top rack of your dishwasher.

Apply dish soap in the dishwasher and turn on a gentle cycle to wash your shoes.

Once it’s cleaned, allow it to air dry indoors and not outdoors in direct sunlight.
